Dream Out Loud!
Kelly Corrigan said "You have to speak your Dream Out Loud!
Wow, I know that's true at age 75 AND I wish I'd known/thought of that as a teenager. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I did that in my way.
While in high school, I determined who I wanted to marry, how many kids I wanted and how many years apart they should arrive. I also determined what profession I wanted to be a part of and I attacked each of these "wants/Dreams" with passion.
You know what happened? The Dreams came true! And good things happened on top of them!
In my current position, I ask my clients "what they want" AND it's very difficult for them to tell me. The most common answer is "I don't know." I understand/accept that AND thank God that didn't happen to me. Somehow, probably by the Grace of God, I knew. How cool is that?!
I don't know Kelly Corrigan and I agree with her AND my challenge is to encourage my clients to Dream Out Loud, in writing. Say what you want AND determine what price you're willing to pay to get what you want!
Also, notice and DECLARE the WHY behind the Want. If the WHY is big enough, you'll succeed!
My WHY was very big and I never forgot it.
What is your DREAM?
How willing are you to say it "out loud?"
If you said it "out loud", would you be embarrassed? If not, the Dream may not be big enough!
Take a chance. Columbus did and notice what he discovered.
Martin Luther King said, "I have a dream!" in front of thousands of people. What about you?
