How Desperately does Your Leader/Boss Want You to Succeed!
Until a few weeks ago, I'd never given this question much thought. I wonder where I'd be today if I'd thought about this question many years ago. I wonder where I'd be today if I'd determined what I wanted the answer to be and had a conversation with my Leader/Boss about their answer to this question. I wonder if my Leader/Boss ever thought about the question for any of their employees, what the question meant and what the Leader/Boss's responsibility was! I wonder if I ever really thought about what level of success I wanted for my employees and told them?
This first question could beg another question...Who is my Leader/Boss? Could it be my Company Owner, my Division Manager, my Department Manager and/or could it be my spouse? Also, could I not only want my work employees to succeed, could I also want my children, grand children and great grand children to succeed?
Everything I have has been created/generated by a conversation! If this belief is true, I have to have a valuable/intentional conversation upwardly with my Leader and laterally with my peers and downward with my employees to create our success/value.
My career has been very good, lots of valuable outcomes, good relationships, 55 years of marriage and seven Great Grand Kids! How does it get better than that?
I'll tell you! I could have learned how to have valuable/intentional conversations with my Leaders, including my spouse and my children and we could have designed a successful Journey! Life has been and is very good AND it's getting better because of my intentions are improving and I'm answering valuable questions!
