What is Contentment?
I've been struggling with this question for years! People much smarter than me have written about this over the decades and it still seems to be elusive.
Paul the Apostle said in Philippians 4:11 that "I have learned to be content in all circumstances..." Personally, I'm "learning" and it's taking a very long time!
Today, as I was walking my dog in Perfect Las Vegas weather, I began reflecting about my circumstances, my family, my health, my finances, my future, etc. Apparently, Reflection is very good because contentment overwhelmed me. I was very present and realized how fortunate I am even though I have challenges and negative thoughts. I'm sending the negative thoughts on their way because they're not valuable. I'm spending my time focusing on who I am and who I'm becoming, with unlimited possibilities!
