What is LIFE?
I wonder what causes me to ask such difficult questions? Is this necessary? Why don't I just talk about humorous, feel good subjects? After all, most peers accuse me of being too "touchy/feely," which is very funny since I'm a recovering CPA!
There's something to be said about that. In fact, that world famous philosopher, Forrest Gump, said "Life is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get!" That's somewhat funny and truthful also.
In my experience, Life has been both terrific and challenging. My book title is I Bet on God and Vegas and Won...a true story of the most fortunate man to ever walk the face of the earth. I've been blessed by both personal and professional experiences.
Lately, I've noticed more! One of my Friends died last Friday and another one is very close behind. My best Friend in high school and our Valedictorian is struggling with final stages of Alzheimer's and these happenings break my heart.
The visual for me is my friends and I are running through a mine field and I'm the only one who hasn't stepped on a mine! Unbelievable! I've never seen myself as privileged and/or lucky and here I am.
How Grateful I am! Gratefulness equals Freedom! Except for the Grace of God, there I go. How do I maintain this belief? My experience for me is it's minute by minute for the rest of my life. Negative thoughts crepe in and I must send them on their way. When I notice Gratefulness, life is very good and I'm unstoppable!
